Welcome, CES families!

As president of the Christ Episcopal School Parent Association (CESPA), I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all new and returning families.

CESPA serves as both a volunteer group and a fundraising arm of the school.

As a Christ Episcopal School parent, you are automatically a member of CESPA, and your participation in the organization is the gateway to becoming involved in and knowledgeable about the school. Being actively involved in CESPA is so important as we support the school and its mission. We encourage each of our parents to learn more about us and sign up to help with one or more of the CESPA committees outlined below.

Thank you,

Jessica Wardlaw

CESPA President 2021-2022

We encourage all parents to learn about us and sign up to help.

AATP is Christ Episcopal School’s week-long celebration of the arts, culminating in our unique take on a school fair. The annual event includes a child-centered, gallery-style art exhibit and reception, a fun run, the ever-popular Box Parade, and the Saturday Family Fun Day, featuring arts and crafts, confetti eggs, wacky hair, and more! AATP 2022 will also include a new event, CES Battle of the Bands.

AATP 2022 Arts Week will be April 4-9, 2022. Highlights include:

• Friday, April 8: Box Parade and Fun Run during school hours; Battle of the Bands (created with our Junior High and High School students in mind and including a VIP section for parents and sponsors) in the evening

• Saturday, April 9: Family Fun Day at the Christwood Boulevard Campus

• Throughout the week: Art Show, featuring CES student artwork, and the inaugural Tri-Parish Art Quest, a community-wide juried show for young artists.

AATP is CESPA’s largest event, and it generates significant funding that supports educational enhancements for the school. Volunteer opportunities include helping with or chairing one of the following AATP committees:

Bingo! is a great night of family fun, drawing attendance from the entire student body at two separate events: one for our ECC and LS families and one for our JH and HS students. Students and their families enjoy raucous rounds of Bingo and a pizza dinner at the CBC with cash and other prizes up for grabs. Volunteers are needed for day-of-event duties that include planning, setup, registration, assistance during the event, and cleanup.
