Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Baptismal Covenant of the Episcopal Church calls us to seek and serve Christ in all persons, to love our neighbors as ourselves, to strive for justice and peace among all people, and to respect the dignity of every human being. Our school’s student-created operating principles include reminders to be kind and to see God in everyone.

In our efforts to live into these beliefs, we state our commitment to the ongoing process of fostering a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive campus for all members of the Christ Episcopal School community. This commitment focuses our attention on what the school has always recognized: that each person is a unique child of God, valued for their whole selves – not in spite of their differences but because of them. We are committed to embracing and honoring those differences, whether they be differences in race, ethnicity, religious belief, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, or neurodiversity. We are also committed to resisting bias, finding common ground, and fostering an appreciation for multiple perspectives and experiences.
