Since its founding in 1984, CES has grown rapidly from a parish elementary school into a college preparatory school serving some 630 students in early pre-k through twelfth grade. To address the continued expansion of enrollment and programs, the Board of Trustees is launching a capital campaign to address the increased urgency of critical campus needs, which include more classroom space, a fieldhouse, a commercial kitchen, security enhancements, and Center of Inquiry modifications to elevate our school-wide arts programs.
A new building of eight classrooms, including three larger-scale STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) classrooms. This building will also serve as the new campus welcome center, with administrative and security offices.
The STEM designed and equipped classrooms will ensure that our students have access to the most advanced programs available.
The fieldhouse will have a capacity of 1,100 people, allowing the school to host tournaments and playoff games, and accommodate the entire school population when gathering indoors for chapel services, assemblies, and special events. It will also eliminate significant overcrowding in the current gym when P.E. classes must be held indoors. The current gym will be dedicated for use by the Lower School.
The Center of Inquiry will be repurposed as the Center for Fine Arts, where classes in our studio and performing arts programs will be housed. Enhancements to the theater, classrooms, and common areas will benefit students, teachers, and community members who enjoy our productions and exhibitions.
Security and safety upgrades will include improved campus security, enhanced communication capability, and updated incident management protocols.
