←back to Service Learning Service Learning Partners Christwood: Located adjacent to CES, Christwood is a Continuing Care Retirement Community. It is also a mission of Christ Episcopal Church and was planned with the vision that intergenerational learning would take place between the residents and the school children. Covington Food Bank and Thrift Shop: This is a year-round ministry providing food and essentials to those in need in our community. Caritas: This is a lay ministry to the poor with a focus on the education of young children. Covington Early Head Start: This organization provides childcare and family services to children of low-income parents who are enrolled in a full-time education program. Some of the children in the program have special needs. Covington Head Start:Provides a comprehensive early childhood education program for low-income families as well as children with special needs. Greater Starlight Baptist Church Kiddie Kollege:This is a Louisiana accredited facility that offers a stimulating developmental program for ages newborn through 4 years. The facility serves nutritionally balanced meals daily. St. Tammany Parish Hospital: We assist the Meals at Home program and distribute Angel Bears we create to young children receiving treatment at the hospital. Habitat for Humanity: Helps families build and purchase a home, who might otherwise not qualify to own a home.
